Intro to Smartphone Photography

  • 42nd St Library 5th Ave and 42nd St New York, NY (map)

Do you want to create better photographs with your smartphone? Don’t know what settings are best under which conditions? Not sure how to get the results you want? Then this is the class for you!

Join us for Intro to Smartphone Photography. We will conduct exercises that will help you to create better composed images, and explore the psychology of shooting with a camera phone instead of a “real camera”. In addition, we will discuss the ins-and-outs of post-production, and which apps are the best.

To participate in this class bring your smartphone (of course!), fully charged. With the exception of a smartphone headset, no other accessories (i.e. lenses, tripods, etc.) are needed.

Note: This class is limited towards mobile phones (iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows, etc.), and not geared towards tablets (i.e. iPads).

Location: New York Public Library - Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. We will meet by the 5th Avenue main entrance, off to the side by the green tables and chairs. In addition, we will conduct both outdoor and indoor exercises.

Teacher: Sepia
