Immerse yourself in the vibrant festivities of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, during the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival.

This enchanting two-day celebration serves as a beautiful homage to the departed, reuniting the living and the dead in a joyous embrace of tradition and culture.

As the city comes alive with radiant colors and lively gatherings, families craft ofrendas (offerings) to honor their loved ones who have passed on. San Miguel de Allende becomes a dazzling spectacle, adorned with vibrant marigold flowers, cherished photographs, and beloved foods and drinks, all laid out to welcome back the spirits of the departed. It's a heartfelt invitation for them to join in the festivities, as their presence is celebrated and cherished.

During Dia de los Muertos, the streets are adorned with calaveras (skulls), each one bearing a cheerful smile that defies the solemnity of death and embraces the vibrancy of life. It's a time of laughter, music, and shared memories, where the spirit of community thrives and the bonds between the living and the dead are renewed in a joyous celebration of love and remembrance.

I attended the Photo Reset Workshop in San Miguel de Allende and had a fabulous time. San Miguel is an extremely walkable (though hilly!) and photogenic city in the central highlands of Mexico. The layers of history and culture are everywhere -- great for photography and exploration beyond the ordinary. Mindy created a terrific tour down to every detail and the lodging and hospitality at Casa de la Cuesta could not be better. Go!

I recently returned from a soul-soothing 5-day adventure with Mindy and the Art of Intuitive Photography. The opportunity to photograph in San Miguel de Allende, an enchanting small town in the Mexican mountains with cobblestone streets, colorful marketplaces and breathtaking panoramic views is not to be missed. The local people are welcoming the food authentic and delicious. I would love to return to this charming Mexican town and do it again. Thank you, Mindy for an incredible travel photography experience.

San Miguel is the perfect destination to reset and get inspired.  The hospitality, food and views were all incredible, as well as the company. Mindy coordinated a great balance of learning, exploring and relaxation.  Thank you for an amazing experience. I would definitely go again.
