Join us for a remarkable photography tour as we embark on an immersive exploration of this captivating land. Led by lead photography instructor Mindy Veissid, this tour is designed to allow you to experience the magic of Morocco while enhancing your photography skills.

As we journey through Morocco's landscapes, markets, and cultural landmarks, you'll cultivate memories and photographs that tell a tale of your adventure.

Who Can Join?

Whether you're a novice seeking to improve your skills or an experienced photographer looking for fresh inspiration, this 9 day journey is designed to elevate your photography while fostering cultural exchange and personal growth. All cameras including Smartphones are welcome. Non photographers are also welcome.

Itinerary:

  • Oct 17 Arrive in Tangier. A day of self exploration. Evening in Tangier.

  • Oct 18 Tangier & Chefchaouen: Explore the medina, Hercules cave and Cape Spartel where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet. Then off to Chefchaouen, also known as ‘The Blue City’, via the Rif Mountains. Evening in Chefchaouen.

  • Oct 19 Chefchaouen to Fes Via Volubilis: Enjoy a Morning walking tour in the medina before our journey towards Volubilis. In Volubilis we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological site of Moroccan history with a local guide. Then off to Fes, where we’ll spend the night.

  • Oct 20 Fes Exploration: After your breakfast, we’ll explore Fes, the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and little streets. We’ll visit the Jewish quarter, Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries. After lunch, we’ll visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a beautiful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Evening in Fes.

  • Oct 21 Fes to Desert: Depart early toward Merzouga, through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, where we may just spot Barbary Monkeys. Then we’ll travel through the scenic Ziz Valley to reach the Sahara Desert. Once we arrive, we’ll begin our camel trek through the dunes, catching a stunning Sahara sunset, and then settle into a traditional desert camp complete with traditional music and a fire. Evening in a luxury camp site.

  • Oct 22 Desert to Dades Valley Via Todra Gorges: Leave the Sahara Desert behind and visit the lively Rissani market, where we can experience authentic local culture. We’ll continue our journey through the dramatic Todra Gorges and the scenic Dades Valley, admiring the striking canyonlandscapes along the way. Evening in a tranquil lodge surrounded in the middle of the gorge.

  • Oct 23 Dades Valley to Marrakech Via Kasbahs and High Atlas Mountains: We’ll visit the Kasbah Amridil at Skoura and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. Enjoy the patchwork of Berber villages in the river valleys in this region and the contrast of colors as the scenery changes; from arid pre-Saharan to alpine to farmland and olive groves. Cross the mountains at the Tichka Pass and gradually descend to the plain of Marrakech. Evening in Marrakech.

  • Oct 24 Marrakech Exploration: We will have a day tour to discover Marrakech. We will visit the beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech including the 19th century Bahia Palace, the 16th century Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia Mosque. We will also visit the famous Souks where the merchants sell everything from leather, cloths, spices, kaftans, etc. Evening in Marrackech.

  • Oct 25: Transfer to Marrakech airport.

Instructor: Mindy Véissid

Mindy is an innovative, award-winning international fine art photographer, founder of Art of Intuitive Photography, a boutique photography school in NYC, and an educator.

Her approach to photography focuses on using intuition, vulnerability and trust to show a deeper sense of who she is and what she sees. Mindy's intention is that her photos tell a story or a poem, guiding the viewer deeper into her image to show that's it's ok to be who you are, to trust yourself and your body (intuition). Mindy's photos have been exhibited in the US and Europe and have been published in various magazines and websites.

Mindy started teaching her Art of Intuitive Photography classes and workshops in 2010. In her classes she helps her students trust their intuition and creativity providing a fun and experiential approach to photography.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which airport do we fly into?

For those living in the US, we will fly out on October 16th, and arrive in Tangier (TNG) on the 17th. After you register, Mindy will contact you directly to give you her flight info so you can all arrive together. Return flight will be from Marrekech (RAK).

What is your cancellation policy?

There is a nonrefundable deposit of $800 to hold your spot.

The full balance is due by September 1st, 2026. If you are not paid in full by then, we reserve the right to offer your spot to our waiting list or the public, and to retain your deposit.

Cancellation: In the event you need to cancel your trip after your full balance is paid, you will not be refunded. You are welcome to sell or give your ticket to another person. In the event that we have a waiting list we will try to fill your spot with a person from that list.

Travel Insurance: We request that you get travel insurance.. We have used Allianz travel in the past. https://www.allianz.com/en.html

In the case of acts of God, war, disaster, pandemic, border closure or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to retain your fees and reschedule or make any necessary changes to the trip. Because there is planning on our and the hotel’s part, rescheduling the trip is the best option.
